KISS CONVENTION OSLO 1995 Rockefeller Music Hall the 13th of June

Off-stage report part II
Here's Lars story about what happend after the convention.

After Ace's jam with Parasite he was spending some time with us backstage signing autographs and posing for pictures. He was satisfied with the jam and we told him that it was great to see him on stage again. He told us that he became a totally different person when he got a guitar in his hands and when he were on stage. When we asked him what he thought about the coverband he responded; they are all right, very professional. We asked him if he were satisfied with the convention and then he said with a satisfied Iook...YEAH!! We talked for a while and he was telling us about his daughter Monique. She was now 15 years old and were doing highschool. She had plans to graduate at a university. He said he was separated with Jeanette and that he still had a house in Connecticut and a apartment in New York City. We started to talk about the touring and he said that they he would tour with his band in Europe next year. I said that everybody said stuff like that but never kept a word. He then guaranteed that if they were going to tour Europe, Norway was going to be first priority. He said that they would probably play in Oslo next spring. He also told us about the tour he was going to do with Peter Criss in USA in July and August. Ace began to be quite tired so it was time for us to bring him back to the hotel. Leif the chauffeur was waiting outside in the Van so we followed Ace and George out of the hall. Backstage entrance of course. George was real happy about the whole thing and he thanked us for a great show. At the hotel we had to get a new room key for Ace because he had of course lost it. Everybody was happy so we just said goodnight and bye.

The 14th of June was a sad day. Ace was leaving Oslo for this time.
After only four hours of sleep we were on our way to the hotel to meet George. Ace was still in bed so we drove George to the bank so he could change his Norwegian crowns to Dollars. We drove back to the hotel and Stig had to say good-bye to George cause he had to get back to the convention-hall to clear something up. And before he left George was telling us how thankful he were about the arrangement of the convention and about the hole visit. Then came Cato and Leif and we all went to the Plaza hotel restaurant to have breakfast. While we were eating we were talking about music, women, Norway/USA and so on. George told us that he had been in Norway 3 times before as an manager. He were here in Oslo in 1980 on Kiss Unmasked tour and he had been here with another American group twice (unknown group to us). He said that he wanted to take his wile and children to Norway for a vacation. He then told us about the Kiss tour of Australia in 1980 and he told its about his work with Bill Aucoin and Kiss. After the meal he invited us up to his hotel room because he wanted to give us some Ace Frehley souvenirs. He said that we could take whatever we would like to have and we could choose between backstage passes, guitar picks and photos. We went down to the lobby while George called Ace and told him to get ready to leave for the airport. 15 minutes later Ace and George came down and we walked right into the van which was parked outside.

We were on our way to the airport and as the wheels were rolling we asked kindly Ace if we could here some songs from his new demo tape. Ace said yes and put the tape in the record Player. He told us the stories behind each song. "Sister" and "In the City" was the songs he played for us and we were probable the first Kiss fans that ever heard those songs? He told us that it was just plain and raw demos. But we thought it was unique anyway. It was in real traditional Ace Frehley Rock-n Roll
